A little about me...
I love to learn! Whether it’s a new skill or travel to a new place, or, even more likely, reading or listening to a book about a new time, place, or person, sign me up!
I have been a high school teacher for 10+ years. I’ve taught History, Co-op, Guidance, and French but English and ELA is where my heart is. I have a Master’s degree in English and Film Studies. I LOVE pop culture and finding meaningful ways to incorporate it into my classroom.
I love London Fog lattes, random wikipedia entries (Did you know that falling down the rabbit hole of entries will always lead you back to the entry for philosophy? Try it!), and all the binge-worthy tv and books, especially audiobooks!
Finally, I’m the mom to one ferocious 5-year-old girl who keeps me on my toes even more than my high school students do!
I hope to never stop learning!
And I hope that I can help you to continue to learn too!
This is why I create resources to help secondary ELA teachers and their students.
